Update information on the State Orchard Road project
Update on State Orchard Road Aug. 11
Phase 2 roadway was paved Friday and Briarwood was opened.
The contractor has already begun storm sewer work on Phase 3 that is off the road.
This week they will pour the trail and driveways in Phase 2. After that’s complete I suspect they will start Phase 3 (removing the road, etc.) which will close Gladbrook.

Construction will start June 2. The first portion of work will take place from Eastern Hills Drive to Briarwood Drive. The project will consist of removing and replacing the street pavement, adding storm sewer, adding a trail connecting Steven Road to Eastern Hills Drive, and driveway approaches. Ditches along State Orchard Road will be removed and graded to the new curb and gutter roadway.
